My name is Scott Laurain. I am 24 years old, and I work as a pastor at Northville Christian Assembly of God in Northville Michigan. At NCA, I serve as an assistant student ministry pastor. I oversee all kinds of different ministries. Some of these ministries include: children’s church, Fine Arts, JBQ, Children’s special events, assisting with the Jr. high/High School/College services, and occasionally preaching in the adult service. However, one of my favorite ministries to oversee is the children/youth missions. This ministry includes both Boy’s and Girl’s Missionary Challenge (BGMC) and Speed the Light (STL).
Speed the Light (STL) is the student-initiated, volunteer, charitable program that provides much-needed equipment to missionaries across the nation and in over 180 countries around the world. Since its beginning, STL has raised over $220 million for missionary equipment around the world.
This blog exists for one reason. That reason is to bring awareness to Speed the Light. You will find posts about fund-raising ideas, missionary testimonies and interviews, pictures of the mission field, and much more. Keep coming back and checking out the blog!
